1. What it is
A 30-day creative competition run by Sentimé (the maker of Mobloom). The theme is “Create Your Own Minecraft-Compatible Mob”: a child makes an original mob in Mobloom Mob Creator, and a parent or legal guardian enters it from the grown-up area. It is a competition of skill, judged on a published rubric. There is no draw, no chance element and no entry fee.

All deadlines are fixed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and are shown above in your own time zone. Entries and votes close automatically at the deadline; the server's clock decides, not the device's.
3. Free to enter
No purchase, trial or subscription is necessary to enter, to vote, or to win. Entering needs a Mobloom grown-up account (free) and a mob made in the creature maker, which is free to use on your device. Starting the free trial or paying for Mobloom does not improve anyone's chances. If you cannot or do not want to make an account, write to us at the address on Contact before entries close and we will record your entry by hand, free of charge, on the same terms and judged the same way.
4. Who can enter
- The child who made the mob must be aged 6 to 17 on the day entries open. Entries are placed in one of six age categories by that age: 6–7, 8–9, 10–11, 12–13, 14–15, 16–17. The category is fixed once the entry is made.
- The entry is made by an adult (18 or over) who is the parent or legal guardian of the child, from that adult's own Mobloom account, and who agrees to these rules on the child's behalf and confirms their consent. In some countries the grown-up confirms consent by re-entering the account password.
- The grown-up must live in a country where the challenge is open. Open countries:
- not announced yet
- One entry per child. A family with more than one child may enter one mob for each child (each child is a separate maker in Mobloom). An entry can be replaced until it has been checked, and withdrawn at any time before the results are finalised.
- Not open to people who run Mobloom or Sentimé, the judges, or their households.
5. What counts as an entry
- A mob made in Mobloom Mob Creator by the child, and the child's own original work — no copying of other people's creatures, characters, brands or trademarks, and no content generated for the child by an AI tool.
- Entered during the dates above from the grown-up area → Creator Challenge, with a nickname for the maker (never a real name), an optional short description, and a picture of the mob.
- Suitable for children: nothing rude, scary, unkind or unsafe. Every entry is checked by a person before it is accepted or shown anywhere.
- The child keeps every right in the mob. Entering gives Sentimé only the permission to look at it to judge it, to show it in the gallery and in the results if the family allowed that, and to name it as a winner by the mob's name and the nickname.
6. Checking, the gallery and sharing
After an entry is checked and accepted it is validated. A validated entry appears in the public gallery only if the grown-up gave permission, and the family can take it out of the gallery at any time from the grown-up area. The gallery and each entry's page show the mob's picture, its name, the nickname and the age category — never the child's name, age, country, account or anything else. A family may share its own entry's page by link, on Facebook, on WhatsApp or anywhere a link goes; sharing is optional and never required to enter or win.
7. How the winners are chosen
Each age category is judged separately. Every validated entry gets a score from 0 to 100 made of two parts:

In full: judges' score = the average over the judges of (35 × creativity + 25 × design + 15 × character) ÷ 75. Community score = the entry's valid votes ÷ the highest valid-vote count in its category × 100 (0 for every entry in a category where nobody voted). Final score = 0.75 × judges' score + 0.25 × community score. The three highest final scores in each category take first, second and third place: 18 placements in all.
Ties are broken, in order, by the higher judges' score, then the higher average creativity score, then the entry that was made earlier. Disqualified votes (section 8) are removed before counting, so they never raise or lower anyone's score. Judges score independently; every score is recorded with the judge's identity and the time, every change is kept, and the organiser cannot alter a score without that being visible in the record. The ranking is computed by one published, deterministic procedure from the recorded scores and valid votes, and is final once the organiser approves it. We will answer questions about it in good faith.
8. Community voting
- Voting is free and happens inside Mobloom: a signed-in grown-up account may give one vote per entry, during the voting dates only. No purchase, trial, subscription or social-media account is needed.
- A family cannot vote for its own entries. Votes are counted on the server; automated voting, votes from many accounts controlled by one person, bought votes or votes made by misleading people are disqualified, and an entry that organised them may be disqualified too. Ceilings on votes per account and per connection apply.
- Vote totals are not shown while voting runs. Only the final placements are published.
- To count votes fairly, Mobloom keeps a salted, one-way code made from the voting device's internet address alongside each vote for the length of the competition. It cannot be turned back into the address, and it is deleted with the competition's vote records.

Prizes are months of the Mobloom Mob Creator subscription, worth US$9.99 a month, and have no cash value. They are added to the winning family's own account once the organiser has approved the results: a family on the free trial has its trial extended; a paying family's next bills are waived for that many months and its paid time is kept; a family without a subscription (including one that cancelled) gets those months free from the day its current access ends, with nothing charged and nothing reactivated. The next billing date is always shown in the grown-up area. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or combined with any other offer, and cannot be given in cash.
10. The participation reward
Every validated entry earns its family one extra free month of Mobloom Mob Creator. The conditions:
- The month is given only after the entry has been checked and validated. A rejected or withdrawn entry earns nothing.
- It is given once per family account for the whole competition, even if the family enters a mob for each of several children. It does not change anyone's chances of winning.
- A family on the free trial has its trial extended by one month; a paying family's next bill is waived and its paid time is kept; a family without a subscription, including one that cancelled, gets one free month from the day its current access ends, with nothing charged and nothing reactivated.
- It cannot be transferred, exchanged or given in cash.
11. Certificates
Every validated entry receives a personalised e-certificate (a PDF) showing the challenge, the maker's nickname, the mob's name, the age category, the year and a unique certificate code. First, second and third places receive a separate placement certificate. Families download and keep their certificates from the grown-up area; Mobloom never publishes them. Anyone holding a certificate code can check it is real at /challenge/verify, which shows only what is printed on the certificate.
12. Results and winner notification
Winning families are told by email to the grown-up's account address, within 14 days of the organiser approving the results. The results page names each placed mob by its name, the nickname and the age category, and shows its picture only if the family allowed the gallery. A family may ask for its entry not to be shown in the results; the placement stands.
13. What we store, and privacy
An entry stores the mob itself (the creature file), its name, the nickname, the optional description and picture of the mob, the child's age category and age on the opening day (never a date of birth), the grown-up's country of residence (so we can apply the right rules), the grown-up's agreement and consent, and the dates. We do not collect the child's name, date of birth, school, photo or contact details. Votes are stored as the voter's account and the entry. Certificates store what is printed on them. Rewards store what was given, when and by what means. Entries, votes and the address codes are deleted within 90 days of the results being published, except what a winning family's prize or a certificate needs; everything is deleted with the account, or sooner on request. 14. Questions and complaints
Write to us through Contact. We answer within 10 working days. If you believe a vote, a score or a placement is wrong, say which entry and why; we will look at the records (which keep every score and every vote with its time) and answer in writing.
15. The small print
- Sentimé may extend, pause or cancel the challenge if something outside its control (a fault, a legal reason, too few entries in a category) makes it impossible to run fairly; we would say so on this page and nobody would lose a reward already earned.
- If a category has fewer than three validated entries, only the places that can be filled are awarded.
- An entry that breaks these rules can be disqualified at any stage, with the reason recorded; a prize given to a disqualified entry can be withdrawn.
- The organiser's decisions on eligibility and the approved results are final, subject to section 14 and your rights under local law.
