Is Mobloom safe for kids?
There is no chat, no messages, no comments, no followers and no likes in Mobloom. A grown-up makes the family account and a child is only a nickname inside it. Card numbers are handled by Stripe. Mobloom never stores your full card number. Nothing a child makes is public unless a grown-up chooses to share it.
What a family account stores
- The grown-up: an email address and a password, stored by our authentication provider, Supabase, in hashed form.
- Each child: a maker nickname chosen by the family. It does not have to be a real name. A maker is not an account and cannot log in. Mobloom asks for nothing else about the child: no email, no password, no phone number, no birthday, no real name, no photo, no location.
- The creatures: the project files themselves, with their edit history.
- Billing, only if a grown-up starts the trial or subscribes: Card numbers are handled by Stripe. Mobloom never stores your full card number.
Without an account, creatures save in the browser on your device only. The full details are in the privacy page.
What grown-ups control
- The family account, its makers, and the trial and subscription are managed in the grown-up area, which can be locked with a passcode on a shared device.
- The child’s screens never ask for money. Exports that need the trial send the child to ask a grown-up.
- The Mobloom Universe is a moderated gallery. A child can ask to show a creature, only a grown-up can offer it, confirmed with the account password, and a person at Mobloom checks every creature before it appears. A grown-up can take it back at any time. There are no comments, messages, likes or ratings.
